A long weekend of soccer. Jordan had two games and Ethan had 3 in Columbia MD.

Ethan Durst with CSA Avengers U15B

Ethan played another good game today as goalie and holding midfield. As goalie there were one or two things he feels he could have done different, but it was still a great game.

Ethan got to play midfield today and did GREAT. He had/has a cold or allergies and could not breath (as evident in all of the pictures) He also had a great game in goal. Let 2 by but stopped what seemed like 100.

3 Soccer games in 3 days.  It started on Friday with Jordan’s senior night which they strolled to an “easy” victory of 7 – 0 over Westlake.

Saturday Ethan Durst played a great 1/2 for CSA U15B against Annandale FC. They did lose 2-0 but still a good game for the boys.

The first game for the CSA Avengers team.  I believe it was a feeling out process for the boys.  They had not played together as a full team.  Ethan took a little bit to get used to the larger field and goal as this was his first time playing on both.

The life of a goalie continues with another injury. Ethan has a contusion after Sunday’s game. Basically a pulled muscle coming out between two ribs. Resting for a week with no physical activity.

I did not think it would be a good game today. It was cold, wet, and early in the morning but the boys surprised me again. Great job guys!!

The Boys did great again today. From my standpoint they outplayed their opponent from the start.  Ethan had a lot of great saves today!!

Dear Parents,

As I watched this afternoon’s match, I could not contain my sense of pride.

Looking across the pitch I saw confidence on the ball, trust amongst teammates and a love for this beautiful game expressed by players and parents alike. This comfort on the ball does not come from a single training session. The strong relationships developed within a team do not come from winning every single match. Love for this game does not come from simply playing it. These components are developed through a competitive environment, where players are hungry to get better and committed to one another.  This culture, with genuine laughter and fun, is the perfect recipe for growth.

With that being said, our boys still have much to work on! Let’s keep up the great work.
